Creag Meagaidh, 3rd Jan 2011

Today (3rd) Ian and I went to Creag Meagaidh to try and escape the west coast rain. We climbed ‘Glass Slipper’, grade III which was mostly easy snow. There was 1 big Ice pitch which was hard watery ice and quite sustained. It looked like someone had recently abbed off halfway up, (we were unable to get the abseil stuff out as our line was on the right). Near the top the weather came in and there was some spindrift avalanches and gusty winds. Rain from below the loch in coire Ardair on the way back. Pumkin looked complete and the Wand also.
